John 16: 33
”I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Whilst Jesus offers us peace, He also warns that hardship will come, but we can take heart; we have the victory in Him. Knowing that our Lord has overcome the world, brings us joy and peace. He has overcome the world; this is the foundation of our joy and peace; the peace that can only be found in Him and with Him.
Our Lord Jesus offers us real peace; a peace that the world cannot give. It is the peace spoken of in Philippians 4:7. A peace that exceeds anything we can understand; it is beyond our power of thinking and therefore does not bow down to human logic. However whilst this peace is beyond our ability to understand and explain, we can experience it.
Be encouraged that as you hold onto God’s word, His peace will enfold you and will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Praise His name!
LORD, thank you for your peace, and that as we learn to wait on you and trust you, your promise of peace settles us and takes away all our fears, worries and anxieties. Help us to hold onto your word, so that our hearts and minds become settled and secured in the assurance that as believers in Christ, we are over-
