Reflective Thoughts
Psalm 91: 1-
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the
almighty. I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Reflection
Here the psalmist reminds us that God is The Most High; He is Almighty; He is the Lord our God, and dwelling and resting in His shadow implies great nearness to God.
In these verses we are also reminded of the greatness of God’s protection, and the comfort and care that He provides -
He is our great and mighty refuge and fortress; we are safe and secure in Him. He shelters us and provides us with complete security; and this security is available to everyone who put their trust in Him, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
How beautifully and wonderfully re-
Be encouraged as you hold onto His Word – you are safe and secure in His hands. Only he knows what’s best for you and how to carry you. Praying that you find rest in God’s shadow today, and that you can declare Him to be your refuge and your fortress as you trust in Him.
LORD, may we continue to enjoy all the benefits that come from having a close relationship with You, and truly trusting in You. We pray that each day you make us conscious of Your ever abiding presence with us. Thank you that we can find rest, safety and security in your shadow.
