About Us

We are a small friendly community church based at the bottom of Barnet Hill in Barnet, North London. We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30am and hold occasional evening services at 6.30pm - usually on the 2nd & 4th Sunday. (see calendar for details)

The morning service caters for families. After a short time of worship together children have Bible teaching and crafts appropriate to their age.

How we might help you

Prayer .... We have a team which is available to pray with people during our Communion Services. Other groups meet for prayer. If you want prayer or know someone who would like to be prayed for, you can drop a note through the Church letterbox, or speak to one of the members of the Church.

Listening .... Sometimes it is good to have someone to talk to in confidence. Our Pastor, Deacons or other Members of the Church are always available to lend a listening ear or help in any way.

Help In Trouble .... Bereavement, family problems, relationships with local schools.

Help In Good Times .... Saying thank you to God for a new baby - Getting married - Special Celebrations.

Underhill Baptist Church is a member of “Churches Together for Chipping Barnet”. This group is responsible for The Valley Centre at 38 Homefield, Dollis Valley Way and for organising other joint activities.

After the morning services, refreshments are served in the small hall where people can meet for fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee.

We have good wheelchair/ramp access with a handrail from the street up to the Church. Wheelchairs can then come in through the side door . There is nothing we can do about the slope of the street which is difficult for unloading - the suggestion is to park higher up the street and come down to the Church.

We have a “Loop” System; if you have a Hearing Aid, please turn it to the “T” position.

At the moment we do NOT have a toilet with Universal Access
